Our Vision

The 4S’s – Seek, Savor, Serve and Share.

The 4S’s are a way of thinking for our church mission and vision supported by our core values.

Seek After God = in Worship and Prayer = Attend regularly and develop a devotional life.

Savor God’s Word = Together or Independently = Meet in small groups and/or develop a devotional life.

Serve God’s People = Within the Congregation and/or the Community= in a personal and/or corporate ministry.

Share God’s Love = Locally and Personally or Financially and Globally = in a personal evangelism and/or in a mission.

Our Church Leadership is currently working on a ministry plan to support this mission which will answer the following question:

“What does our Church – Fourth Avenue UMC, want to look like?”

More communication will be forthcoming on this endeavor within the coming weeks.

“Our desire is to move beyond survival to becoming a congregation that is healthy, vibrant, active, and engaged: with one another, with our community and world, and most importantly, with Jesus Christ.”
